What’s True
Video has changed the world. The power of video to capture attention and engage audiences of all sizes has literally shaped our culture for over half a century. Whether you’re marketing a product or service, raising awareness of a non-profit or just demonstrating a new technique to students, video needs to be a part of your game plan. Nothing demonstrates, entertains or sells quite like video and it’s available for use twenty-four seven. To make a lasting impression on anyone, from the family to the global economy, tell your story with video.
What's New
Digital video is changing the world again. What used to involve many people, lots of equipment and lots and lots of money can now be accomplished with one or two people, a camera and a computer. And all for a lower price than could have been imagined only a few years ago. DVD technology allows for random access and high quality video that can be viewed on a laptop or projected on a big screen. Websites can display short segments and webcasting can keep widely dispersed groups of people up to speed on project focus and changes. The possibilities are endless and only await those visionaries who will put them to use in ways not yet imagined.
What's Not
The desktop publishing revolution made it possible to do things with a computer in the print medium that had never existed before. It changed the print world forever, but it hasn’t made a graphic artist out of everyone who bought the software. The same is true of digital video. I started Looking Glass Digital in an effort to combine my experience from a long tenure in commercial broadcasting with this new digital world. Laura has alligned her talents in voiceover, writing and production on a freelance basis when more hands are needed on a project. Experience is what sets us apart at Looking glass Digital.
